Sarah Corpstein Interview
Miss Iowa USA 2006
Why did you decide to participate in the Miss Iowa USA pageant?
It was something that interested me.
You competed once before winning the Miss Iowa USA pageant, what motivated you to come back and compete for the title again?
I went having no expectations but I am a competitive person. Placing 1st runner-up made me think that I really could win the title the next year. Originally I was not going to come back and it was a last minute decision.
What was going through your head when your name was announced as the 1st runner up at Miss Iowa USA?
I was disappointed but knew that everything happens for a reason. I knew that it wasn't my time yet.
You competed in the Miss USA pageant in 2006 , what would be your most memorable experience there?
Just being a part of the Miss USA experience. I feel blessed that I was able to go and meet so many talented young women. I have never been to New York and my first time there I went to LIVE with Regis and Kelly. Quite an experience.
Who would be your role model and why?
My mother. She is the most patient, calm, and collected person I know. She has taught me that you can do anything you want as long as you believe in yourself.
What have you been up to since your reign as Miss Iowa USA ended?
I work at Target as a manager and I will be married on September 27, 2008. Lots of wedding planning.
