Why did you decide to compete in the Miss New York USA pageant?
I thought it would be a great opportunity and I was always interested in participating in a pageant but it never occurred to me that I would win!

I was mostly shocked and speechless. It was hard to believe that I was going to be the one representing New Yorkstate in the National pageant.
You competed once before winning the pageant the second year, what motivated you to come back and compete for the title again?
The first year I competed I was not as prepared and was just participating to get a feel of what it would be like to be in a pageant. After I was announced in the top five, I figured why not try harder next year? Also, I do not believe in giving up.
What would be your first thoughts when you were announced as Miss Photogenic at Miss Teen USA?
I had no idea that I would be the girl to win Miss Photogenic. To be honest, I was not even too fond of the picture I had sent! I was extremely contented and It was an honor to take home that trophy!
What would be your most memorable moment at Miss Teen USA?
My most memorable moment would have to be the day spent with all the girls from the pageant. We did a little shopping, and then we all went to Jamba Juice and had incredible smoothies! It was a great day and I became very close with many of the girls there.
What would be your most memorable moment as Miss New York Teen USA?
My most memorable moment as Miss New York Teen USA is difficult to say because I have so many unbelievable memories throughout my reign. If I had to choose one moment, it would be the Memorial Day Parade. I got to be in a convertible and when I arrived everyone was screaming my name and clapping! It was exhilarating and I loved it! To know that people recognize me and believe in me is a great feeling.
Lastly, what have you been up to since your reign as Miss New York Teen USA ended?
