Kristen Robinson
Miss Georgia Teen USA 2011 (top 15 @ Miss Teen USA 2011)
Why did you decide to compete in the Miss Georgia Teen USA pageant?
I have always wanted compete in pageants and my Godfather Randal Smith saw my potential and desire and suggested I compete.
What was going through your head when you were called into the top 15 at Miss Teen USA?
I am so ready to get back on this stage and work it for the judges!
What would be your most memorable moment as Miss Georgia Teen USA?
A little girl in my mothers second grade class did a Black history Report on me being that I was the first African American to hold this title and it made me cry because she said I was her inspiration.
What emotions were you going through when you had to crown your successor?
I was sad that my time had ended and I hoped that I impacted the lives across the state because that was my main goal. I also wanted Courtney (my successor) to know that she has big shoes to fill and that her life would change forever.
Will we see you compete in another pageant in the near future?
Yes, I am competing for Miss UGA in January. Wish me luck.
Lastly, what have you been up to since your reign as Miss Georgia Teen USA ended?
I have been working with different human trafficking support organizations as I have become an advocate to help these young victims. I also assist my mother with her organization Dream Big Georgia that mentors young girls as well as puts on the annual Miss East Georgia Pageant. I am also a sophomore at the University of Georgia and that keeps me extremely busy but I love every second of being a Georgia Bulldawg!
