Kristen Bell Interview
Miss Alabama Teen USA 2005
Why did you decide to participate in the Miss Alabama Teen USA pageant?
I have always loved pageants, dressing up, and wearing high heels! As a young girl, I watched the Miss Teen USA pageant everytime it came on TV. It has always been a dream of mine to represent Alabama at Teen USA. I couldn't wait to turn 15 so I could start competing for the state title!!
What was going through your head when you were announced as the winner of Miss Alabama Teen USA?
I was really shocked because I had fumbled a little on my on stage question. As they were calling out the runner-ups, I had prepared myself to hear my name. When they didnt call me out for 4th, 3rd, or 2nd.....I began to freak out! When they crowned me as Miss Alabama Teen USA 2005, I couldnt believe it!! I was so happy and so excited that I had accomplished a goal and a dream of mine!!
What was your most memorable moment at Miss Teen USA 2005?
Everything about being at Teen USA was amazing, but if I had to choose only one, it would be the moment we got spend on stage as they counted down the seconds for the live show! The crowd was screaming and holding signs! It was the greatest feeling ever! I knew exactly where my family and friends were sitting and to see how happy and proud the were of me is a feeling I will never forget!
Who would be your role model and why?
My daddy is definitely my role model! He is such an amazing person. I have learned so much through him! He has taught me great things about life! He is my best friend and I hope that one day I can be half of the person he is!!
What have you been up to since you gave away your title?
I have been really busy with school and trying to get my degree. As of right now, I have applied for X-ray school and I am hoping to hear great news really soon!!! I work part time at West Alabama Bank for the summer. I have a boyfriend for 4 years and he is amazing!! Hopefully after finishing school I can compete for the title of Miss Alabama USA!!!
